What career should I choose?

I have been a manicurist for 15 years off and on. My husband is on disability, and I am having to step up and go back to work. I was looking into a medical assistant course. Should I just stick with manicuring which pays good in summertime because of pedicures, but is iffy the rest of the year round, or should I take the medical assistant class which is 7 months long, and get a job that starts at 12.50 an hour? Which makes more sense to do? Thanks :)
Answer
Take the class if you can still work at your current job. $12.50 is not really terrific, to give up 7 months of income.
